## Al-Humaza

**Translation:** The Traducer

### Pre-Bismillah

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

*In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.*

### Verses

#### Verse 1

وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ

**Transliteration:** Wai lul-li kulli hu mazatil-lumaza

**Translation:** Woe to every scorner and mocker

#### Verse 2

الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُ

**Transliteration:** Al-lazi jama'a maalaw wa'addadah

**Translation:** Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.

#### Verse 3

يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ

**Transliteration:** Yahsabu anna maalahu akhladah

**Translation:** He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.

#### Verse 4

كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ

**Transliteration:** Kalla layum ba zanna fil hutamah

**Translation:** No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher.

#### Verse 5

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ

**Transliteration:** Wa maa adraaka mal-hutamah

**Translation:** And what can make you know what is the Crusher?

#### Verse 6

نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ

**Transliteration:** Narul laahil-mooqada

**Translation:** It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled,

#### Verse 7

الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْأَفْئِدَةِ

**Transliteration:** Al latee tat tali'u 'alalafidah

**Translation:** Which mounts directed at the hearts.

#### Verse 8

إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ

**Transliteration:** Innaha 'alaihim moosada

**Translation:** Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them

#### Verse 9

فِي عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ

**Transliteration:** Fee 'amadim-mu mad dadah

**Translation:** In extended columns.
