## Al-Ikhlaas

**Translation:** Sincerity
**Revelation:** Meccan
**Number of Verses:** 4

### Pre-Bismillah

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

*In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.*

### Verses

#### Verse 1

قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

**Transliteration:** Qul huwal laahu ahad

**Translation:** Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,

#### Verse 2

اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ

**Transliteration:** Allah hus-samad

**Translation:** Allah, the Eternal Refuge.

#### Verse 3

لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ

**Transliteration:** Lam yalid wa lam yoolad

**Translation:** He neither begets nor is born,

#### Verse 4

وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ

**Transliteration:** Wa lam yakul-lahu kufuwan ahad

**Translation:** Nor is there to Him any equivalent."
