## Al-Qadr

**Translation:** The Power, Fate
**Revelation:** Meccan
**Number of Verses:** 5

### Pre-Bismillah

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

*In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.*

### Verses

#### Verse 1

إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ

**Transliteration:** Innaa anzalnaahu fee lailatil qadr

**Translation:** Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree.

#### Verse 2

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ

**Transliteration:** Wa maa adraaka ma lailatul qadr

**Translation:** And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?

#### Verse 3

لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ

**Transliteration:** Lailatul qadri khairum min alfee shahr

**Translation:** The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.

#### Verse 4

تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ

**Transliteration:** Tanaz zalul malaa-ikatu war roohu feeha bi izni-rab bihim min kulli amr

**Translation:** The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.

#### Verse 5

سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ

**Transliteration:** Salaamun hiya hattaa mat la'il fajr

**Translation:** Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.
